Friction Analysis of Gear Shaft End and Neck of High Tempera

Friction resistance of gear journal at both ends of gear shaft of high temperature melt pump is caused by the relative operation of gear journal at both ends of gear shaft and their respective sliding bearings. If the matching of the journal and the sliding bearing at both ends of the gear shaft of the high temperature pump is too tight, the lubrication of the gear shaft of the high temperature melt pump will be bad, which will cause excessive friction, shorten the life of the sliding bearing of the high temperature gear pump, and cause the fracture of the gear shaft due to the excessive force on the gear shaft. If the two ends of the Journal of the high temperature pump match with the sliding bearing loosely, the life of the sliding bearing will be very short, and the damage of the bearing will increase the friction of the gear shaft.

Under the condition of certain lubricating medium, transmission torque and shaft speed, the mating clearance between the Journal of gear shaft and their respective sliding bearings (hereinafter referred to as mating clearance) of high temperature melt gear pump directly affects the formation of lubricating oil film. Because of the friction force of gear shaft and the length of operation life, the mating clearance has a direct impact on the formation of lubricating oil film. It also changes with the condition of lubrication film, so the fit clearance position has a certain relationship with the friction force and service life of gear shaft.
